WHO IS MYTH TODAY?
Hi! I am Dr Oonagh Pennington-Wilson and I am MYTH TODAY. I am a creative producer working across the arts, heritage and culture sectors. With a PhD in classics at the University of Birmingham, and a professional background in community engagement, I am committed to bringing ancient stories to different audiences in new and creative ways.
I am a specialist in ancient performance and comparative mythology, but my research background means that I can create events and activities on a wide variety of classical and historical subjects. Example themes I have explored include: Tricksters Around The World, Meet The Greek Gods, Heroes & Legends, Roman Saturnalia, Ancient Money, and many more. If you have a subject or theme in mind, I can likely match it. Furthermore, as an active member of the Birmingham and Midlands Classical Association (BMCA), I can find additional collaborators for specilised content (e.g. Latin & Ancient Greek languages).
Services
I have experience of running events, activities and projects for adult and young people. A key feature of my approach is to tailor events to the subject interest and needs of participants. That is why you will not just get a pre-packaged event. Instead I will work with you to build a bespoke experience.
My fees are based on industry standards and are fair given my experience and knowledge, I am happy to negotiate fees based on the scale and budget of your project. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
