MYTH TODAY FOREST SCHOOLS

Between May and July 2025, we kicked off the BMCA Greek Myth Forest Schools—the summer spectacle of our Athena’s Owls extravaganza! We borrowed a page from our craft workshops, spotlighting a different myth or theme at each event. Picture this: tales woven into the woods, followed by hands-on activities inspired by these legends. Here are some of the themes we explored:

  • Shape-shifting & Transformation (Arachne / Baucis & Philemon)
  • Prometheus & Herakles
  • Athena & Her Owls – CoCo Mad.

We teamed up with the fabulous Friends of Cotteridge Park (FoCP), who gave us free park access and introduced us to Tony, a fantastic forest school expert. MYTH TODAY & BMCA also took part in FoCP’s annual festivity, CoCoMad, where over 70 people participated in just 2 hours!
